{"id":6590,"date":"2025-08-26T04:08:16","date_gmt":"2025-08-26T04:08:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.zingman.com\/blog\/?p=6590"},"modified":"2025-08-26T04:09:45","modified_gmt":"2025-08-26T04:09:45","slug":"i-want-to-ride-my-bicycle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.zingman.com\/blog\/2025\/08\/26\/i-want-to-ride-my-bicycle\/","title":{"rendered":"I Want to Ride My Bicycle"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A quick update as we slide around the long backside of summer.\u00a0 The weather has been great and I&#8217;ve been having a good summer for biking.\u00a0 Last Friday I took an epic ride up to Scarsdale on a combination of roads and trail, over thirteen miles.\u00a0 They have some nice houses on the shore of Lake Isle.\u00a0 Sunday I took a ride for twenty-six miles, which is a long as a marathon.\u00a0 It was my longest ride so far this summer, and I did it in an hour and fifty minutes.\u00a0 My goal is to get up to thirty miles sometime this fall.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve gone over 500 miles now this season, and the only counts the rides I&#8217;ve measured.\u00a0 I often forget to turn on the app or to bring my phone, especially for the shorter rides. \u00a0 I\u2019m averaging 50 or more miles a week these days, usually six days a week.
