{"id":179,"date":"2009-03-12T19:30:11","date_gmt":"2009-03-13T00:30:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/zingman.com\/blog\/?p=179"},"modified":"2009-03-12T19:30:11","modified_gmt":"2009-03-13T00:30:11","slug":"we-got-elephants","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.zingman.com\/blog\/2009\/03\/12\/we-got-elephants\/","title":{"rendered":"We Got Elephants"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I recently completed a commission for some origami elephants for a client in Germany.\u00a0 They asked for a series of models in various stages of completion and asked that I use white textured paper.\u00a0 I used 12&#8242; Canson paper and they came out quite nice.\u00a0 Should be interesting to how they photograph them.\u00a0 Meanwhile here are my own snapshots, taken prior to boxing &#8217;em up.<\/p>\n<p>And in case you were wondering, there\u2019s an historical connection between Germans and White Elephants.\u00a0 The Holy Roman Emperor Charlemagne had an albino war elephant a named Abul-Abbas.\u00a0 It was a gift from the Caliph of Baghdad.
